Description
CitizenOS is a free and open-source participation platform empowers organisations and communities to engage in meaningful, balanced discussions and democratic decisions.
First, you create a topic, which serves as the central space for participation and can be structured into phases such as idea collection, discussion, voting, and follow-up action. Participants are invited to contribute by submitting ideas, commenting on proposals, and engaging in structured pro-and-con discussions before progressing to decision-making through voting tools. The platform allows organisers to customise the process by choosing which phases to include and by adding supporting materials like text, attachments, or images to guide participants. Once a topic is shared, users can join from any location, interact asynchronously, and collectively refine ideas until a final decision is reached, making it suitable for both small groups and large-scale participatory processes.
