Description

DirectDemocracy is an open‑source, decentralized e‑voting platform designed to enable bottom‑up direct democracy anywhere in the world. It allows citizens to register, propose referendums, vote, and sign petitions without needing approval from governments or traditional institutions. The goal is to make democratic decision-making globally accessible, transparent, verifiable, and resistant to censorship or corruption.

Individuals can publish a citizen profile with name, picture, and location. Then you can build reputation by asking other citizens or judges to endorse you. When a judge trusts your identity, your endorsements accumulate into a reputation score that enables you to vote. When voting, your app works with a polling station to anonymize your vote. All publications (citizen cards, endorsements, votes, results) are publicly visible and cryptographically signed, so you can verify your vote was counted, anyone can check the integrity of the voting process, and no one can see how you voted.
