In Bad News, you on the role of a person who spreads fake news in order to gain followers and appear more credible than you actually are.

The goal is to expose the tactics and manipulation techniques that are used to mislead people and build up a following. These techniques are impersonating people online, using emotional language, group polarisation, spreading conspiracy theories, discrediting opponents, and trolling. Bad News works as a psychological “vaccine” against disinformation: playing it builds cognitive resistance against common forms of manipulation that you may encounter online.
