Democracy workbook (Demokraatia Töövihik)

The Estonian Cooperation Assembly has developed a range of activities, including digital tools and programmes, to foster engagement, encourage participation in decision-making processes, and strengthen young people’s democratic mindset.

Democracy workbook includes three exercises: Participatory Budgeting, where the school representative can upload participatory budgeting ideas and students can vote for them using the national e-ID system. Student Elections, where can be used for student council or class president e-voting in a secure online environment. Practice Digital Signing, which is a tool for practicing giving your digital signature using the Estonian e-ID system. In Estonia, where a substantial portion of interactions with the state occur online, having a safe sandbox where to practice it, is crucial.
