Description
Unionslabor is a digital political simulation game that allows participants to experience and understand European decision-making by taking on the roles of national leaders within a fictional union. It focuses on learning through cooperation, conflict, and compromise. Players explore how political choices about markets, voting rules, solidarity, and wealth distribution affect different countries.
The game works on smartphones, tablets, or computers, and has a blended-learning approach combines on-screen decision-making with face-to-face discussion. Participants discuss policy options, argue their positions, and collectively make choices, while the system calculates and visualizes the outcomes of those decisions in real time. The process is designed to be easy to facilitate in a classroom or group setting. Note that the game is only available in German.
