Description

The StoryCubes method uses 6 dice with pictures to help people create stories and express themselves. Participants roll the dice and make personal or group stories based on the images. The activity encourages lateral thinking, imagination, and listening to others. The way the method is used can change depending on the context, making the activity easier or more challenging.

Case Description

• Volunteers 16-23 y.o.

• The activity needs a classroom space, basic materials (paper, markers, post-its), a group of participants, and someone to guide the discussion in a safe and inclusive environment. A set of 6 StoryCubes is also required.

• Problems: Some problems may include low participation, limited imagination, lack of confidence when sharing stories, missing materials, or difficulty connecting abstract images to real experiences.

• Topic & themes: Creativity, self-expression, lateral thinking, emotional awareness, storytelling, empathy, group

• Description how the session was arranged: The activity was done in a classroom using simple materials like 6 StoryCubes, paper, and markers. Participants sat in a circle or small groups. The facilitator guided the session in a safe and inclusive space, without the need for digital tools.

Positive
